As you might be aware, Midweek DVD has been a semi-regular feature of Blatantly Random, whereby I would talk about a random DVD for a few hundred words, usually telling you to watch it for reasons that most normal people won’t care about. Well, thanks to a recent cinema trip with some friends, and after having a mostly great time, I feel that I should be able to talk about cinema releases, not just DVDs.
Midweek DVD is now Midweek Movie. I can now talk about new films, not just old, obscure and obtuse films.

In a blatant attempt at getting people to comment on this blog, I’ve installed the Top Commentators plugin.
It’s a chart from the last 30 days, showing the highest commenting people on the site, limited to the top 5. If they have a URL in their profile, their name gets linked as such as a reward. This chart appears on every page on the site, so there’s some good exposure for people that want it.

Good Morning (or at least for most of the viewers of this, it will be morning). Today starts the voyage of a new blog in a sea of blogs. A blog that gives it’s writers the ability to appeal to their inner geek, meandering around various subject areas that should pique your interest once in a while.
Although our generalised topics revolve around the geekish (film, television, technology, gaming and things found on the internet), we hope to include some randomness in the middle of it all that should make you think, smile, wonder, or even allow yourself to explore more of our big wide world.
The least we can do is hope that you enjoy this blog, and come back regularly for updates that may actually be the best thing ever, or close to it.
