Man Fails With Axe/Lynx Effect For 7 Years, Sues

By | Nov 2, 2009

I’m not too sure whether to call it inspired or just stupid… but still…

A man by the name of Vaibhav Bedi decided to use Axe based on the advertising that by simply spraying it on your body, droves of women will flock to worship you. 7 years of failure later, he’s resorted to suing the manufacturers in a court in India.

Now I myself fell for the Lynx advertising years ago, and kept using it because it was the cheapest decent deodorant in the supermarket (and the family kept buying it for me for Christmas), however I learned that the TV does lie from time to time, especially in advertising.

Either this man is very naive about television advertising, or he’s realized that he would get more female attention if he had a large wallet of cash, no matter how he smelt…

A case like that would get laughed out of court in the United States.
