Now, I expect at least half of you to know whom Buffy the Vampire Slayer is. I’m not a huge fan, but my family is. I may not have liked Buffy, but I did like that other Joss “Not Stone” Wheldon project, Serenity. Cue a new project born from the Writer’s Strike, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog“, a musical-comedy that’s being “broadcast” on the internet, instead of through the TV or theaters first.
There will be 3 installments, on the 15th, 17th and 19th, but they will then disappear on the 20th. After that, they’ll be downloadable and maybe even chucked onto a DVD.
This is pretty gutsy to do, Mr Wheldon. Avoiding the usual avenues and trying to be successful is always a tricky thing to do, but hey, at least I’m looking forward to it…

It’s another dancing video from the world of Matt. He’s gone around the world… again… filming himself doing the weird “trying so hard to dance in weird places” dance in weird… places… Anyway…
Here he is!
Of course, this time he recruited more people, including one Ed Lau. Lucky man (Ed, not Matt…)
Apparently there’s been this “Football” thing happening in Europe. Euro 2008 or something. I’m not a fan of soccer in general, so it has to be something special for me to want to sit up and take notice.
Topless Soccer? Nah. Not interested.
Topless Soccer with female players? …What?
The match was organized from a chat room on the internets, with teams consisting of just women and wearing only thongs. Shirts were painted onto the ladies, and the final score was 10–5 to Austria.
You can see a picture of the event here, and the Reuters story is here.
(This needs to be done more often. I suggest an international league…)
The Web is all about innovation, and Firefox 3 sets the pace with dozens of new features, including the smart location bar, one-click bookmarking and blindingly fast performance
Yes, it’s time to download the Firefox 3 browser, and this time there’s an actual reason to do it on launch day. They are trying to get the Guinness world record for the most downloads of a piece of software in 24 hours.
You don’t have long left, as the Firefox people themselves say…
Please download Firefox 3 by 17:00 UTC on June 18, 2008. That’s 10:00 a.m. in Mountain View, 1:00 p.m. in Toronto, 2:00 p.m. in Rio de Janeiro, 7:00 p.m. in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Rome and Warsaw, 9:00 p.m. in Moscow, and June 19, 2008 at 1:00 a.m. in Beijing and 2:00 a.m. in Tokyo.
Lost is a stupidly successful TV show with high production values and a hefty amount of mystery. Sadly, they skimped on the title sequence and incidental music, which is a shame. Wouldn’t you just want to have been in the meeting when they decided on that? Well… this well done cartoon shows what probably happened.
(And yes, there’s another one for that boring song “Life”, if this one tickled your fancy)
Erika La Tour Eiffel, 37, a former soldier who lives in San Francisco, has been in love with objects before. Her first infatuation was with Lance, a bow that helped her to become a world-class archer, she is fond of the Berlin Wall and she claims to have a physical relationship with a piece of fence she keeps in her bedroom.
But it is the Eiffel Tower she has pledged to love, honour and obey in an intimate ceremony attended by a handful of friends. She has changed her name legally to reflect the bond.
To clarify, Erika loves the Eiffel Tower so much she married it and changed her name.
The justification? If you love an inanimate object, you can’t be let down, made unhappy on purpose, or be dumped. You dictate the relationship(?!) on your own terms, and everyone on the planet collectively sighs in wonderment at this actually happening. This indeed has happened before with a woman and the Berlin Wall.
How many crazy people are there in the world? Really?

Boy does that headline scare me, but it’s innocent enough… mostly.
Someone (whom works at an ad agency) filmed his girlfriend playing Wii-Fit on one of the Hula-Hoop games. That in itself would be funny, except what she is wearing and the fact that she’s good looking, turns it from funny to… well… see for yourself.
