Ninja.com – Solving the Google Power Problem. No Shuriken.

A short while ago, someone thought that if Google changed it’s main colour from White to Black, it would save a ton of energy. $75,000 worth to be exact. It’s a great idea, but it’s unlikely that Google will ever do that, since it would damage Google’s marketing identity. Instead, we have Ninja.

Ninja.com is practically the same as Google in terms of searching ability. Why? Because it is Google, but with a new front end. The only main differences happen to be a lack of various other services like those that Google already do, and the predominance of the colour black. That’s it. Of course, if you’re one of these traditionalists that just wants the usual Google stuff in black, there is a solution, but Ninja.com gives things that Google does not: The possibility of Ninja e-mail addresses (in the future), and the mental image of flipping out searchbots looking for your information and throwing shuriken at them…
